QUINN building products

QUINN building products manufacture and distribute a range of cavity wall, floor and roof insulation products through its QUINN therm and QUINN lite pac divisions. QUINN therm specialises in the manufacture and distribution of zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation to the Irish and UK markets and QUINN lite pac manufactures and distributes expanded polystyrene thermal insulation products.

QUINN prestressed located in Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh manufactures and distributes a range of products including hollowcore flooring, T-joists and precast concrete stairs. All of these products are used in domestic and industrial building applications.

Concrete blocks are produced in eleven different profiles from a fully automated block plant within the division and an extensive range of ready-mixed concrete and washed aggregates are also available from both sites.

Giving significant benefits in terms of heat insulation and handling costs over conventional concrete, the demand for QUINN lite thermal blocks has grown steadily in the market since the facility went into production in 1995. This facility is the first of its kind in Ireland and now produces a full range of products that are sold throughout the UK and Ireland.

QUINN cement has been in production since 1989 at its Derrylin site using local raw material from the quarry facilities. Given the increasing demand generated from the construction sector over the years, a second plant was commissioned in 2000. The Group is now one of the market leaders in the Irish Cement market.

QUINN rooftiles commenced production in 1982 with a purpose built factory at Gortmullen, Derrylin. This first plant was commissioned in 1982. However due to market demand a new factory built on the existing site commenced production in 2001 and was subsequently expanded again in 2005.

Established in 1994, QUINN tarmac has insured the Group is well placed to take advantage of the ongoing spend on infrastructure within Ireland. QUINN tarmac produces a full range of blacktop products. These include hot rolled asphalt, base course macadam, bitumen macadam road base, and wearing course macadam.
