QUINN chemicals

QUINN chemicals was established in 2006 and is currently constructing a MMA production facility. The QUINN chemicals MMA plant is the first to be constructed in Europe in recent decades. The plant will utilise the most modern and environmentally friendly technology available which was developed in Japan. Leuna was selected as the location for the MMA plant due to its favourable location in the centre of Europe, established infrastructure for the chemical industry, availability of land for development and experienced workforce.

MMA Plant

Methylmethacrylate (MMA) is a clear liquid and is primarily used in the solid form of Polymerised Methylmethacrylate (PMMA) which is the clearest and most transparent plastic material available. The initial capacity of QUINN chemicals MMA plant will be 100,000 tonnes per year. This capacity will be eventually expanded.

Supply

QUINN chemicals will sell more than half of its production to its sister company QUINN plastics, the balance of MMA to a number of industrial and distribution partners in Europe.

Location
