QUINN direct will protect NCB for recent Flood Victims

QUINN-direct has today announced that No Claims Discount (NCB) renewal entitlements for policyholders with household or vehicle damage claims arising from the recent floods and storms will not be affected. This applies to claims which have been notified to the company between Thursday 19th and tomorrow, Tuesday 24th November ‘09. The company appreciates and understands the extraordinary nature of the events in recent days and the hardship faced by people whose businesses, homes and property has been damaged.

QUINN-direct is ready to assist its customers in any way possible and is informing its customers that it wants to do everything it can to get your homes and businesses back to normal as fast as possible. The company has the best record of any Irish insurance company in settling claims quickly.

QUINN-direct already has over 250 Claims Assessors and Engineers spread throughout every county in Ireland and the message the company wants to give out is:

“We are ready to take your call now; to visit your property and to assess the damage immediately. So don’t wait, if you need help call us now.”

As well as its 24hr Claims Helpline, the company has also set up a claims incident room in its Cork Office in Little Island so customers can visit today and discuss their claim directly with our experienced Engineers and Claims Assessors. Policyholders can also visit any of our offices in Cavan, Navan, Blanchardstown and O’Connell Street, Dublin or Enniskillen where assistance is available.

QUINN-direct also offers the following advice to those affected by the floods and recent storms:

  1. Take precautions to protect yourself and your family.
  2. Protect valuables as best you can and take whatever action you can to protect your home from further flooding.
  3. Don’t take any undue risks; the Health and Safety of you and your family is the most important thing.
  4. Take photos of the damage if you can; they will assist in assessing the damage and will allow us to make payments quickly.
  5. Keep receipts of anything you buy or replace that has been damaged.
  6. If you have to move let us know.
  7. Retain damaged property if possible.
