| The QUINN glass Derrylin Plant went into production at the end of 1998 producing a full range of flint, green and amber containers. Commitment to a strategy of seeking high value added products prompted the Quinn Group to move into the container glass market with the establishment of QUINN glass, which manufactures glass containers for the food and beverage industries. Building on the success of the first facility, QUINN glass has further consolidated its position in the market by investing in another production plant, beverage filling hall and warehousing facility at Elton, Cheshire in the UK. All of the facilities utilise the most up-to-date technology available within the industry with the lowest emissions levels of any similar facility in Europe. The beverage-filling hall in particular has proved extremely successful as brewers and distillers seek ways to reduce costs across the supply chain.
