The Trust supports the employment of special nurses, pharmacists, counselors and the purchase of essential laboratory equipment and other technical support. It has purchased apartments in close proximity to the hospital to assist patients and their families. Substantial contributions have also gone to research carried out by the bone marrow transplant team under the direction of the leukaemia expert Professor Shaun McCann.
